Dr. Boiwka was born and raised in Amherst, Ohio and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Optometry graduating summa cum laude from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Boiwka: Perioperative Care & Wellness Specialist
After choosing Dr. Waring to perform her own refractive surgery, it became clear that the Waring Vision Institute was the ideal place to call home and further her career. Since joining the WVI team Dr. Boiwka focuses on perioperative care and spearheads the Health, Wellness & Dry Eye clinic. Dr. Boiwka is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association.
When away from the office, Dr. Boiwka enjoys staying active by practicing and competing in Muay Thai, spending time outdoors, cooking, gardening and spoiling her two dogs.
